The Places

Carpano Museum

The current spaces of Eataly Lingotto were once home to the production of Carpano vermouth, patented in Turin in 1786 by the namesake Antonio Benedetto. To recall the past, on the first floor of the food and wine center, where the aromas of botanicals were extracted and preserved, the Carpano Museum has been set up, an exhibition space that allows you to take a journey into the past, to discover the company's history and the secrets of its production. During the visit, you have the opportunity to experience with all your senses the five raw materials with which vermouth is produced: wine, alcohol, sugar, caramel and botanicals. The museum also features a room dedicated to the Punt e Mes logo designed by Armando Testa in 1960, which symbolically and ingeniously represented the taste of vermouth: one point of sweet and half of bitter.
